My favorite endeavors are to learn, create, and problem solve. As a costumes and props technician, these three things are at the forefront of my work. Every project, no matter the difficulty, teaches something new. The same can be said for storytelling, which is what theatre is at its core. It has the ability to teach the audience about anything: from real life struggles to what brings them joy. This form of education isn’t necessarily blatant, instead it is woven through all aspects of a show. I strive to work on projects that prioritize the impact and education it brings to the audience.

Collaboration and community is what keeps me in theatre. Together we are able to make things far greater than one person. I love seeing pieces come together to create something intricate and impactful. Within my craft, I enjoy complicated and detailed work as they allow me to learn and problem solve the most. I may not get something right the first time, but I will try again to reach the best final product I can manage.
